Our Fees
Civil Litigation Fees
We are committed to transparent, upfront pricing. Below is our fee structure for civil litigation matters. All fees are quoted exclusive of VAT at 20% unless stated.
How We Charge
Civil litigation costs can be difficult to predict at the outset because they often depend on the conduct and co-operation of the other party, the complexity of the issues, and whether the matter settles or proceeds to a final hearing. We will always give you a realistic costs estimate at the start of your matter and will update you if that estimate is likely to change.
Where possible, we offer fixed fees for discrete stages of litigation. For matters that are likely to be more complex or protracted, we charge on an hourly rate basis, providing regular costs updates throughout.
Debt Recovery
We offer fixed fees for straightforward debt recovery claims:
| Claim Value | Our Fee (exc. VAT) | Court Issue Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Up to £5,000 (small claims) | From £500 | £35 – £205 |
| £5,001 – £10,000 (fast track) | From £800 | £455 |
| £10,001 – £25,000 (fast track) | From £1,200 | £610 |
| £25,001 – £50,000 (multi-track) | By quotation | £1,115 |
| Over £50,000 (multi-track) | By quotation | 5% of claim value |
The above are indicative fees for undefended or straightforward claims. If a claim is defended, costs will increase. We will advise you at each stage before incurring further costs.

Costs Recovery
If your claim is successful, the court may order the other party to contribute towards your legal costs. In small claims track cases, cost recovery is generally limited. In fast track and multi-track cases, a greater proportion of costs may be recovered. We will advise you on the likely costs recovery position at the outset of your matter.
