EU Settlement Scheme
We advise EU, EEA and Swiss nationals and their family members on applications under the EU Settlement Scheme, including settled and pre-settled status applications, late applications and appeals against refused decisions.
Leave to Remain
We assist clients with the full range of leave to remain applications, including:
- Marriage / Partner route — applications for leave based on a relationship with a British citizen or person settled in the UK, including initial applications and extensions
- Family / Partner route — applications for those in the UK as family members, including children and dependent relatives
- Discretionary leave to remain — applications where the circumstances do not meet a specific immigration category but compelling grounds exist
- Stateless persons — advice and applications for those who are stateless and seeking leave to remain in the UK
- 10-year long residence — applications for indefinite leave to remain on the basis of continuous lawful residence for 10 years
- Other routes — including leave outside the Immigration Rules and exceptional circumstances applications
Settlement (Indefinite Leave to Remain)
We advise on and prepare all types of settlement (ILR) applications, including:
- Settlement on the basis of 5 years' leave as a partner or spouse
- Settlement on the basis of 10 years' continuous lawful residence
- Returning resident applications
- Settlement for bereaved partners
- Settlement for victims of domestic abuse
- Long residence (14 years) applications
British Nationality
We advise on and prepare applications for British nationality, including:
- Naturalisation — for adults who have been settled in the UK for the required period
- Registration — for those with an entitlement to British citizenship by birth, descent or other qualifying connection
- Applications for children
- Discretionary applications and ministerial discretion
Travel Documents
We advise on and assist with applications for UK travel documents, including certificates of travel and stateless person travel documents for those who are unable to obtain a national passport.
Entry Clearance
We assist individuals wishing to come to the UK with entry clearance applications, including:
- Spouse and partner visas — applications to join or accompany a British citizen or settled person in the UK
- Visitor visas — standard visitor applications and appeals against refusals
- Work visas — skilled worker and other employment-based routes
- Family visit visas — applications for family members to visit the UK
Human Rights
We advise on and prepare human rights applications, primarily under Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights (the right to respect for private and family life). We represent clients before the Home Office and on appeal before the Immigration and Asylum Tribunal.
Asylum
We advise asylum seekers and those in need of international protection. We prepare detailed asylum claims, including supporting documentation and witness statements, and provide robust representation at substantive asylum interviews and appeals.
Bail
We apply for immigration bail on behalf of clients held in immigration detention, preparing bail applications and representing clients before the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber).
Deportation
We represent clients facing deportation from the UK, advising on the prospects of challenging a deportation order and preparing representations and appeals where grounds to resist deportation exist.
